Tomcat7 runs but I find jsp files take about 10-15 seconds to open.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-31462158745279745052013-01-24T01:14:09.594+00:002013-01-24T01:14:09.594+00:00Thanks you, I installed Java, below is output

However, as it's an article on the Oracle site, I suspect that's their reason for using it. :)

I've just reformatted my Pi as an XBMC machine, so I'm not in a position to compare them. But, if you do any comparative tests yourself, I'd be interested in the results.Ben Ketteridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17529525432307797030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-47831019574885191762013-01-11T20:50:24.458+00:002013-01-11T20:50:24.458+00:00Hi!

I searched about installing Java on the raspi and I found this: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/java/raspberrypi-1704896.html
java SE for Embedded. I'm wondering: why using this instead of using directly the openJDK for debian? Because for me works perfectly (it's true that the compilation takes a bit). It's about performance? The openJDK performance in the raspi is worst than the Embedded version?
Do you know why?

Thanks.
Best RegardsShucohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03463009449966429356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-68102396792087446782012-08-29T05:33:09.603+00:002012-08-29T05:33:09.603+00:00Yes it did work - including writing a small web se...Yes it did work - including writing a small web server of my own.

Tomcat might work, but I've not tried it.

Jetty would also be worth a try if your looking at small web servers.Ben Ketteridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17529525432307797030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-49823437987199365422012-08-29T02:45:30.622+00:002012-08-29T02:45:30.622+00:00That is exactly my plan for my raspberry pi too!, ...That is exactly my plan for my raspberry pi too!, how did that go?
