See the picture to the left. Any charger you will find will have a data label like this one. The top line is the power it takes from the mains. You can ignore this, (so long as you are sure it was made for your country.). The bottom line is the power it provides (outputs) to the device it's charging. There are two numbers listed, and you can be fairly certain that the first one of them is going to be "5V" (V means volts). Occasionally a power supply might supply a bit more, and anything up to 5.25V is safe. The second number is the important one. thanks!
---------------------
click me..Natalie- power adapterhttp://www.power-adapters.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-31462158745279745052013-01-24T01:14:09.594+00:002013-01-24T01:14:09.594+00:00Thanks you, I installed Java, below is output

I searched about installing Java on the raspi and I found this: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/java/raspberrypi-1704896.html
java SE for Embedded. I'm wondering: why using this instead of using directly the openJDK for debian? Because for me works perfectly (it's true that the compilation takes a bit). It's about performance? The openJDK performance in the raspi is worst than the Embedded version?
Do you know why?

Thanks.
Best RegardsShucohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03463009449966429356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-80741147182254672472012-09-19T20:03:41.425+00:002012-09-19T20:03:41.425+00:00The cable that comes with the Kindle charger seems...The cable that comes with the Kindle charger seems to fit your criteria just fine. :)Ben Ketteridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17529525432307797030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-41022773515855758642012-09-19T18:03:04.426+00:002012-09-19T18:03:04.426+00:00It's also important to get a good cable from t...It's also important to get a good cable from the Adapter to the Pi, because over thin wires the Voltage will drop considerably when the Raspberry Pi is drawing more than idle power. Thanks:)
***********************************
Ac Dc Power Adapter Harriethttp://www.dchub.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-15349484909868336122012-09-14T23:04:21.323+00:002012-09-14T23:04:21.323+00:00a) my router doesn't have this functionality.

Many routers have a USB socket that can be used to power your pi, so one short usb lead for power and a short LAN cable does the job. But I think that that one source should be a primary source (i.e. someone directly involved in the story), and wikipedia rarely qualifies as such. I hope we can at least agree on that.

In the particular case of the Jarre journalistic fiasco, it was a case of lazy journalists picking up a dodgy quote from wikipedia (and as far as I know, not referencing it as coming from there either), and failing to check it with, say Jarre's agent, or an interview in a reputable publication, or, frankly, anywhere else on the internet outside of the previous 48 hours! Multiple sources can be insufficient, especially if they aren't truly independent, and that can be difficult to assess.
Like anyone else, journalists must use something called good judgment to assess whether they know something to be a fact and can therefore present it to their audience as fact.
Otherwise it should be presented as a claim and attributed to its source so the audience can make an informed decision as to the claim's reliability and value.
If a journalist writes, "A Wikipedia page on Jarre quoted him as saying, 'bla bla bla' that would be fine as long the journalist saw it there with her own eyes.Rich Garellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10813166635677373592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975263003335671237.post-25338021635779932542010-09-02T22:46:02.894+00:002010-09-02T22:46:02.894+00:00Hi
